My future job

Before I started studying journalism, I wasn´t sure about what I wanted to do with my life in the future. Nevertheless, since I was little I have always been interested in talking and writing, and I think journalism is a career that can help me to improve those skills. On other hand, when I was little I was not able to visualize myself working in an office, but now I think about it and I wouldn't mind working in a publisher or a newspaper because I still be doing what I like that is informing, so   is an oportunity that I wouldn't refuse. I imagine my future job to be either in an office or reporting on the streets, I would like to work on TV too, I think it would be interesting. So, I decided to study journalism because I think this career would let me have a job in which I can travel a lot in the future and also be able to inform people about news from all over the world. I'm still not sure what I want to specialize in but I think investigative journalism sounds interes...

My expectations for 2021

Imagen
When it  comes to think about  my expectations for 2021, I think the first one that comes to my mind is a year m ore chilled  a nd without all the unexpected events 2020 had. Since a pandemic of coronavirus has happened all over the world, we've been most of the year in lockdown, which caused that all the things planned didn't go as they were supposed. In my case, some of them were my freshman year in the Universidad de Chile and all the ideas I had to hang out with my family and friends throughout the year, which were ruined because of the pandemic. Another expectation I have for 2021 is that cases of coronavirus decrease in a significant way, only having low numbers of them. Also regarding coronavirus I hope scientists find a vaccine that will prevent the virus from spreading across the world again, but in order to accomplish the changes and advances we all have been waiting for I think next year people should be more aware of the importance of   health ...

My pet

Since I was little I always wanted to have a pet but in the builing that I live in, there is a "No pets" rule that do not allows me to have a dog, even though with my family are one of the few people who respect it.  The only pet I have ever been close to was my grandparent's dog, Pelusa, she was a white poodle that always light out the room with her energy. My grandparents had her since before I was born, my dad gave her as a present to them so she could keep them company. In my first memories of her, she was a tiny poodle that looked like a cotton ball, full of energy and always wanted to play with everyone.  When I was older, like 7 years old with my sister, we spent the night at our grandma's house and she would laid down on the bed with us to watch TV or just to be there with us, we really enjoyed her company.  On September 7, 2010, Pelusa passed away because of a tumor that she had on her stomach. I hope one day I have a dog that means as much as Pelusa meant to...

Quarantine hobbies

Since this year we’ve been in a pandemic due to COVID-19, I’ve been in lockdown for months. What has been really challenging for me is trying to organize my schedule and not losing my mind. At the beginning of the lockdown I started my freshman year at the University, so since March I’ve been having online classes. Although the classes kept me busy for a few hours I still had plenty of time to do many actuvities, such as painting, watching movies and series and having online meetings with my friends. Nevertheless, one of the things I’ve done the most is spending time with my older sister. Indeed all the activities I mentioned before I did them with her. The first thing we did was painting landscapes inspired by Bob Ross, although we didn’t have the same materials as him we tried to adapt them to what we had at home.  We’ve also been watching a lot of movies, mainly re-watching our favorite ones such as the Harry Potter series or a few from Disney like animeted ones or live actions ...

France: The country I'd like to visit

Imagen
One of my dreams for the future is to be able to travel around the world. One of the countries I would like to go to is France because of many reasons, but mainly because I’m really interested in getting to know more about the culture and visiting the most famous places in the country such as the Eiffel Tower, the alace of Versailles or the Louvre Museum, among others. What I know about France is that it is a country that stands out for its art and architecture. Once I am there I would like to explore the streets, take pictures and try some of the French cuisine.  I think I would like to live in France at some point, although I don't speak french, I would love to be able to learn while I'm there. Also in France they speak different languages, so it would be good to experience a life surrounded by multicultural people.

The best concert ever

The best concert I have ever attended is from 5 Seconds of Summer in 2017 at Movistar Arena. 5 Seconds of Summer are an Australian pop rock band from Sydney. After they released their second album in 2015 they announced a world tour for 2 years later.  The concert in Chile was on September 8th, 2017 when they were at their tour Sounds Live Feels Live. I attended the event with my sister because she also was a fan of the group. It was our first concert together without our mom, so we were really nervous but excited. When we got to Parque O'higgins where the Arena is located, the atmosphere looked crowded and inside everyone looked thrilled when the band got on stage. During the show everyone seemed ecstatic while jumping and singing along the songs. So far it has been the best concert I have ever attended because I went with my sister to see one of our favorite bands perform live.
